Hybrid Driver / Warehouse Operations SupportPosition Summary:Searching for a multi-skilled individual with a valid CDL certification who can safely and efficiently operate both a tractor-trailer and box truck as the primary function of the role. During periods of lower transportation workload, this position will support warehouse operations to maximize productivity and operational efficiency.The primary responsibility of this role is driving a tractor-trailer and making customer deliveries while maintaining Honeyville's standards for safety, quality, customer service, and regulatory compliance.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTransportation Operations / Driving & UnloadingPerform all transportation functions safely, efficiently, and professionally.Operate commercial vehicles safely and in compliance with DOT regulations and company standards.Assist Transportation Supervisors or Managers with transportation-related operational needs.Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and immediately report deficiencies.Ensure all assigned equipment and vehicles are clean, safe, and operational at all times.Verify trailers are clean, sanitary, and presentable prior to loading.Obtain final trailer inspection approval from the Warehouse Manager or Supervisor prior to departure.Follow proper driving techniques and unloading procedures at all times.Operate electric pallet jacks and hand-stack product utilizing proper unloading practices.Unload various trailer configurations, including dry vans, bulk trailers, bulk oil trailers, and box trucks.Report accidents, damages, or safety concerns immediately to management.Maintain valid CDL licensing and current DOT medical certification.Perform all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.Maintain excellent customer service and professionalism while representing Honeyville at customer locations. Warehouse Operations SupportWhen transportation demands are reduced, provide support to warehouse operations, including:Select customer orders using RF scanners.Pull and verify sales orders by SKU and lot number to ensure compliance with traceability requirements.Receive incoming materials and verify purchase order quantities and lot codes.Enter receiving and inventory information into the ERP system.Place materials into designated warehouse locations utilizing RF technology.Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.Assist with inventory movement, organization, and general warehouse support activities as assigned.Support cross-functional operational initiatives to improve productivity and workflow efficiency. Equipment Operation RequirementsMust be trained, certified, and capable of safely operating:CDL Class A tractor-trailerReach TruckSit-down ForkliftRider Pallet JackElectric Pallet Jack Quality & Food Safety ResponsibilitiesStrictly adhere to all Safety, Food Safety, SQF, GMP, and Quality procedures.Visually inspect all loads prior to departure.Ensure loaded and unloaded products meet Honeyville quality standards.Report contamination, infestation, damaged product, or quality concerns immediately.Wear required PPE including hairnets and bump caps while in designated production areas.Maintain proper personal hygiene and GMP standards.Keep pockets free from items that may contaminate products.Maintain cleanliness of vehicles, trailers, and work areas.Represent Honeyville professionally and provide courteous customer service at all times. Additional ExpectationsFollow all company policies and procedures.Ask questions whenever procedures or assignments are unclear.Perform general sanitation, housekeeping, and maintenance duties as assigned.Support additional operational functions and special projects as needed.Drivers are to have a current Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Class A and have a Medical Certification.Must be trained and licensed to operate a commercial vehicle and operate it in a safe and efficient manner.Must have basic computer skillsPrior experience with SQF and food transportation is a plus, but not requiredFMSCA Clearinghouse consent is required upon hireAbility to make deliveries to clients within some tight spaced turns.Physical Demands & Work Environment:Frequently required to stand; walk; use of hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; and to talk; or hear. Ability to lift, push, pull and/ or move more than 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color and depth vision. Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock or vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud.
