Application Environment Manager

Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Application Environment Manager to lead the coordination and readiness of SAP and integrated applications across the development, testing, quality, and production environments. This role ensures stable, synchronized environments that support both business-as-usual (BAU) operations and major projects. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking, creative problem solver with a strong background in SAP (ECC and S/4HANA) and a track record of managing dual maintenance, freeze periods, and disaster recovery planning.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee SAP and related environments to ensure availability, consistency, and readiness for development, testing, and deployment.Manage dual-maintenance of BAU and project systems during SAP implementations, ensuring alignment and synchronization.Plan and enforce soft and hard environment freezes to maintain stability during critical project phases.Coordinate environment refreshes, data readiness, and system copies to support testing and training.Identify and mitigate environment-related risks and conflicts across teams and timelines.Lead disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure rapid recovery and business continuity.Establish governance and best practices for environment lifecycle management.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align environment needs with project and operational goals.Required QualificationsProven experience managing SAP environments in large enterprise settings.Strong understanding of environment lifecycle, system refreshes, and SAP transport processes.Experience with dual-maintenance and freeze coordination during SAP projects.Demonstrated leadership in disaster recovery planning and execution.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Creative, proactive approach to problem-solving and risk mitigation.PreferredExperience with SAP Solution Manager (ChaRM) and SAP S/4HANA migrations.Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure and modern environment management practices.Success In This Role MeansStable, synchronized environments with minimal disruption.Clear coordination across teams and visibility into environment status.Effective freeze management and disaster recovery preparedness.Continuous improvement in environment governance and efficiency
