Our platform combines hardware, installation, and software to improve safety outcomes, response times, and operational visibility across multi-site portfolios.As we scale, predictable deployment, install quality, and inventory discipline are critical to supporting growth without operational instability.We are seeking a Director of Deployment to build and lead a scalable deployment engine that supports sustained growth.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time role located in Reston, VA, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The Director of Deployment owns the end-to-end deployment lifecycle — from signed contract to stabilized live community.This role is responsible for install capacity planning, hardware forecasting, deployment execution, install quality, and 30-day post-install stabilization.This is a senior builder role. You will design systems, enforce operational discipline, and scale deployment infrastructure to support rapid growth.This is not a project management role. This is a systems ownership role.Core Responsibilities1. Deployment Pipeline OwnershipDesign and manage a predictable deployment pipelineDefine and enforce monthly install capacity limitsForecast deployment 60–90 days outAlign install scheduling with Sales bookingsEstablish install readiness criteria2. Capacity Planning & ForecastingQuantify install team capacityCreate scalable install modelsPrevent overcommitment that degrades qualityDefine hiring triggers based on capacity thresholds3. Inventory & Hardware GovernanceEstablish reorder points and safety stock thresholdsManage hardware forecasting tied to install pipelineCoordinate supplier lead times and purchasing decisionsPrevent stockouts and excess working capital buildupImplement inventory health reporting4. Install Execution & QualityStandardize install checklists and QA proceduresReduce install cycle timeImprove on-time install percentageOwn install quality metricsReduce 30-day post-install issue rates5. 30-Day Stabilization OwnershipMonitor early issue detectionCoordinate with Support and Customer SuccessConduct root cause analysis on install-related failuresImplement structural improvements6. Cross-Functional LeadershipWork closely with Sales, Product, Support, and Customer SuccessEnforce deployment discipline without creating frictionEscalate risks proactivelyProvide monthly deployment performance reportingQualificationsRequired:8–15+ years in operations, deployment, field services, or hardware-enabled technology environmentsExperience scaling multi-site or hardware deploymentsExperience building operational systems from ambiguityStrong capacity planning and forecasting experienceExperience owning cross-functional processesDemonstrated ability to say “no” when necessary to protect qualityExperience presenting operational metrics to executive leadershipPreferred:IoT, healthcare technology, telecom, security systems, or field services experienceStartup or high-growth environment experienceExperience with inventory management systemsExperience building deployment dashboards
