IT - Technology Analyst - Engineering | Java | Java Data Access Frameworks
Overview:
In this role you will design, build, and improve large-scale, production-grade software while mentoring junior engineers. You will drive secure, performant, and scalable systems across multiple product domains, with a focus on reducing technical debt and enabling fast, reliable releases. You'll collaborate with security teams and cross-functional squads to embed best practices and prototype new technologies. This position offers impact through shaping architecture and influencing delivery practices within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Write, test, and document technical work products according to standards
- Mentor junior engineers on craftsmanship and best practices
- Perform root cause analysis to address systemic problems and lead action items
- Design integrated systems enabling cross-team value delivery with speed and scale
- Manage and reduce technical debt within ongoing implementations
- Anticipate scaling, latency, and durability challenges and guide mitigations
- Collaborate with security teams to incorporate security-conscious practices early in lifecycle
- Evaluate technical risks and steer toward preventive measures
- Improve squad delivery practices and drive improvements with leadership
- Identify opportunities for reuse and reduce duplication across teams
- Explore emerging technologies and develop prototypes to inform architecture
Key requirements:
- 5-7 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale production solutions
- Bachelor in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems, Engineering or related technical discipline
- Proficiency in object-oriented design and Agile methodologies (SCRUM)
- Strong communication skills to convey ideas in code, diagrams, and writing
- Ability to optimize solutions for performance, resiliency, and reliability while keeping simplicity
- Experience with full-stack development and cross-team coordination
- Proficiency with Java, Python, C#, JavaScript/TypeScriptExperience with Spring/SpringBoot or FastAPIcooperative leadershipstrong communicationproblem-solving
