Product Systems Engineer We are working with a fast-growing, technology-driven company building complex products at the intersection of software, hardware, and data analytics. Their platform requires high levels of reliability, performance, and scalability, and they are seeking a Product Systems Engineer to help ensure product quality across the full stack.This is a highly cross-functional role where you’ll work closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and drive continuous improvement across systems.Role OverviewAs a Product Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for end-to-end product validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. You’ll operate across multiple domains- including APIs, Linux systems, databases, hardware components, and analytics pipelines- ensuring systems are robust, secure, and production-ready.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys deep technical problem-solving, building automation tools, and taking ownership of the full QA and testing lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and optimize complex systems across APIs, Linux environments, databases, hardware, and web applicationsLead the full QA lifecycle, including security, regression, and performance testingBuild and maintain automation and observability tools for testing, monitoring, and reportingDesign and execute benchmarks and engineering experiments to identify performance gapsCollaborate with cross-functional teams (backend, frontend, DevOps, systems) to resolve technical challengesProvide clear recommendations on product improvements, bug fixes, and performance enhancementsMaintain documentation for testing processes, results, and quality metricsQA & Testing ResponsibilitiesDefine product quality criteria based on requirementsDevelop and execute comprehensive test plans and test casesPerform both manual and automated testing across system componentsTrack, document, and communicate defects through resolutionConduct performance, security, and regression testingContinuously refine testing strategies based on data and outcomesRequired Qualifications3+ years of experience in systems engineering, QA, or related technical rolesStrong experience with Linux systems and troubleshootingHands-on experience with API testing, hardware diagnostics, and database/disk performance analysisExperience building automation tools and observability frameworksProven ability to manage QA processes end-to-endStrong analytical mindset with the ability to design experiments and interpret resultsExcellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a remote environmentPreferred ExperienceExposure to data analytics or anomaly detection systemsFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and release managementExperience with security testing tools and methodologiesBackground in performance optimization and benchmarkingRelevant certifications in Linux, QA, or systems engineeringWhat’s OfferedFully remote, flexible work environmentCompetitive compensation with performance-based incentivesComprehensive health, dental, and vision coverageGenerous PTO and holiday policyOpportunities for professional growth and developmentCollaborative, mission-driven team culture
