Title: Financial Analyst SrLocation: Abbott Park, Illinois (100% Onsite)Duration: 12Months (Possibility of Extension)Pay Range: $40/hr to $44/hr (On W2)We are looking for a "Financial Analyst Sr"to join one of our Fortune 500 clients.Job Summary:The Sr Financial Analyst provides accounting and financial reporting activities in support of the Corporate Benefits Finance team. The primary objectives of Corporate Benefits Finance team are the accurate accounting and as providing financial reporting for Corporate HR Benefits business partners. The Corporate Benefits Finance team manages a +$1B gross budget and corresponding allocations across as well as compliance and Trust activities for the benefits plans. This role interfaces with senior leaders and external auditors.Corporate Benefits accounting and reporting requires critical analysis and forward thinking to analyze and understand the financial implications between benefit programs, payroll, headcount, and business operations from an internal and external point of view. This position will also play a key role in transforming the Corporate Benefits accounting and reporting processes by utilizing new financial tools and processes and identifying/implementing technology and process efficiencies for the organization.Job Responsibilities:Month-end closing activities, including, journal entry preparation, account analysis, intercompany transfers, account reconciliations and financial reporting for Corporate Benefits and other Corporate organizations.Perform financial and business analytics and participate in the decision making processEnsure compliance with SOX, ERISA, internal controls,Corporate and division/department specific policies and proceduresProvide support for internal and external audits and Corporate Tax requestsExecute timely and accurate financial activities in support of business partners.Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures for assigned activities.Operate independently, be flexible in changing environment and challenge the status quo.Education:Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting5+ years of experience in general accounting/reporting.Strong Microsoft skills, including use of pivot tables, vlookups and analysis of data using Excel, some VBA macros knowledge helpfulAbility to summarize/analyze large data sets with the aid of Microsoft tools, Power BI, Alteryx or similar applicationsRequires knowledge of applying accounting principles and regulations to business situations.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with large ERP system; SAP preferredCPA preferredExperience with Corporate Benefits or shared services accounting preferredWe are looking for the candidate who are eligible to work with any employers without sponsorshipIf you're interested, please click "Apply" button
