Electromagnetic Engineer

Job Title: Electromagnetic EngineerDuration: 12 MonthsShift: 1st ShiftLocation: Round Lake, IL 60073 (Onsite)Pay Rate: $48.00/Hour on W2Key Responsibilities:Define EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) requirements based on applicable standards and assess their impact on the evolving baseline design.Analyze and project EMC compliance design margins during the design phase, present findings at design reviews and customer technical meetings.Develop EMI equipment requirements, including maintenance and calibration plans, and implement them in EMI test procedures.Develop and author EMC plans, test procedures, and protocols; oversee their execution in in-house labs and third-party accredited test facilities.Ensure compliance with applicable EMC standards and system requirements throughout the project lifecycle.Support design teams in performing root cause analysis for design issues and product failures.Participate in EMC-related activities such as:Test planningSystem integrationVerification and validation (V&V)Test setup and execution oversight for components and full systemTechnical Skills & Requirements:Familiarity with circuit simulation and electromagnetic modeling tools.Strong understanding of EMI/EMC test methodologies and equipment, including:Spectrum analyzersEMI receiversOscilloscopesAmplifiersCurrent probesPower suppliesAdditional / Desired Skills:Proficiency in tools such as MATLAB, Excel, and LabVIEW.Experience with advanced EMC test equipment.Basic knowledge of statistics.Understanding of test fixture design and specifications.
