Maintenance Engineer

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer Industry: Manufacturing Location: Hickory, NC Shift: M-F, day shift, typically 40 hours per week Client Overview Join a large, established manufacturing operation with a strong global presence in materials science and advanced manufacturing technology. This site is a major production and technology facility where you'd be responsible for keeping critical building systems and infrastructure running. Top 3 Skills CAD software proficiency Building Automation Systems (BAS) and facilities control systems Facilities project management, including scope, schedule, and cost estimating What You'll Do Develop and manage equipment upgrade and replacement plans and building upgrades Manage facilities engineering projects from planning through completion Maintain and upgrade control systems for chilled water, water filtration, compound delivery and silos, and building automation Coordinate outside vendors and contractors for HVAC, chillers, roofing, doors, cleaning, plumbing, exhaust fans, lawn care, and snow removal Establish project plans including scope, schedule, cost estimates, and procurement strategy Provide project management and coordination for key facilities projects Evaluate and verify justification for proposed projects Build project teams with plant staff and outside contractors Prepare and route appropriation requests as needed Support plant safety and environmental programs, ensuring regulatory compliance What We Need From You 10+ years of experience in facilities related project management, including work with subcontractors on building maintenance and repair Strong understanding of mechanical engineering concepts CAD software proficiency Proven project management experience Strong problem solving, decision making, and communication skills Preferred/Bonus BS degree in an Engineering field AutoCAD experience specifically Experience with raw materials systems, pollution abatement systems, compressed air systems, or chilled water systems About Elevait Elevait Solutions was founded by veterans who believe that how you treat people is the only thing that actually matters in this industry.
