Maintenance and Transportation Team Member

Headwaters School, a Pre-K through grade 12 independent day school serving over 500 students across its three campuses in Austin, TX, is seeking a Full Time Maintenance and Transportation Team Member. Regular hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday for a total of 40 hours per week. Occasional weeknight and weekend hours throughout the year to support campus special events. This position starts Spring 2026.This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position. This position includes driving the school bus and passenger vans to transport students and staff between campuses, to special events and scheduled field trips. Must maintain a good driving record. CDL license training supported. This position reports directly to the Campus Coordinator.Starting rate: $25.00 per hourKey DutiesRepairing and maintaining the interior and exterior of the school (i.e. painting, replacing light bulbs and/or ceiling tiles, carpet/floor cleaning, caulking, assembling or moving furniture, blowing leaves, power washing, mulching, etc.)Performing minor adjustments on the HVAC system, furniture, fixtures and other items in the schoolReporting major repair needs to the Campus DirectorEnsuring that all tools, supplies, and equipment are stocked and maintained in a manner consistent with safe and efficient working practicesSelf-directed daily and weekly campus maintenance (i.e. mowing lawn, blowing leaves, clearing walkways, cleaning up litter, powerwashing, wasp/hornet control, playground safety assessment, etc.)Keeping common areas of the school clean and clear of trash and debris.
