Fueled by innovation, talent and ambition, the Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is seeking civilian professionals prepared to deploy war-winning capabilities for the United States Air Force.The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time JPO Security Operations Manager (NH-0080-04) to serve the F-35 Joint Program Office serviced by Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) in the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC).Salary Range: $143,913 - $191,850This position supports the F-35 Joint Program Office Security Directorate. The incumbent is the Security Operations Manager (SOM) for this unique Joint Program Office in Arlington, VA. This is a supervisory position. The SOM leads multiple government and contractor security personnel in executing collateral and SAP mission requirements. This position requires the incumbent maintain effective security support across multiple disciplines, to include Collateral, SAP, Industrial, SCI, and Program Protection for US, Partners and FMS capabilities.Major ResponsibilitiesLead planning, organization, and execution of collateral, SCI, and SAP security support for the Joint Program Office. - Develop, prioritize, and drive Security Directorate performance goals and mission objectives. - Oversee and administer all collateral and SAP security programs through supervisory leadership of subordinate staff. - Direct and coordinate multiple security contractors to meet mission requirements. - Build, strengthen, and maintain effective working relationships with government and industry partners. - Collaborate across multiple global units (CONUS and OCONUS) to ensure unified security operations. - Engage regularly with senior leadership, including officials at the O 7 level and above.Qualifications (KSAs)Expertise in security concepts, principles, and practices to plan and implement security programs for collateral, SCI, and SAP environments.Extensive knowledge of an organization's missions, functions, and structure to ensure effective implementation and oversight of security concepts.Expertise in developing, analyzing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program for the F-35 Joint Program Office Security Directorate.Knowledge of government and industrial base security organization, operations, and management practices.Mastery of Acquisition security, traditional Information Protection disciplines, Special Access Program Security, Antitamper, certification and accreditation of embedded systems principles and practices to plan and implement security programs in these areas.Knowledge of engineering, contracting, logistics and other functional concepts, programs, procedures, and practices.Ability to communicate orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately, including skillful interaction with senior level leadership.Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers, customers, and partners, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.Additional RequirementsIf selected, you may be required to complete a one-year probationary period. - This position is not remote; the selectee will be expected to report to the duty station in Arlington, VA.The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.Work may occasionally require the employee to work outside the normal business hours.The employee is required to obtain and maintain security clearance commensurate with position sensitivity code.This position is indexed for Security Professional Education and Development (SPeD) certifications.Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification and Security Program Integration.Professional Certification conferrals are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DOD 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification and AFI 36-2645, Security Professional Certification and Development.Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
