As a team member for the ND Department of Health and Human services, you will endure the most vulnerable and have access to a high-quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to individuals seeking a variety of services, including registration, insurance processing, and demographic updates. Your role involves direct face-to-face interaction with clients, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. Additionally, you will serve as a key team member by providing coverage for other support staff members as needed, contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of the office.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport registration processes by accurately gathering, verifying, and updating client information, including demographic details, insurance data, and compliance with Accounts Receivable requirements for medical billing. Ensure data accuracy and adherence to organizational policies and legal standards. Address complex medical billing, coding, insurance, and Accounts receivable questions from clients and staff, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions. Process pre-bill reports, monitor authorizations, manage Follow-Up reports, and ensure accurate and timely documentation. Greet and assist clients in person, creating a positive, welcoming experience while responding promptly and effectively to inquiries with clear guidance and support.Maintain confidentiality of all clients and organizational information in accordance with policies and legal requirements. Manage multiple administrative tasks, prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines and support teams members, including coverage during absences or busy periods. Coursework in vocational office support closely related program may substitute for the work experience requirement for a year for year basis if it provided the knowledge and skills required to perform the duties of the position to be filled.
