With that in mind, we encourage all qualified applicants to apply.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Technical Product Manager II (TPM 2) to own product outcomes in technically complex areas of the product, working at the intersection of business needs, user value, and engineering realities. This role is ideal for a product manager who is comfortable engaging deeply with technical concepts and systems while maintaining strong product judgment and user focus.As a TPM 2, you will partner closely with engineering and design to lead discovery and delivery for moderately complex initiatives involving platforms, integrations, data flows, APIs, or legacy systems. You will develop a solid understanding of how the product works end‑to‑end, assess technical tradeoffs, and help the team make informed decisions that balance user outcomes, scalability, performance, and maintainability.You are expected to independently drive problem definition, clarify requirements at the appropriate level, and use data, experimentation, and customer insight to validate decisions. In this role, you collaborate effectively with engineers, communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders, and contribute to improving how the team builds and operates products.Success in this role requires growing technical fluency, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to influence through clarity, evidence, and trust. Technical Product Manager IIs are reliable owners of outcomes within their scope and are developing the depth and systems thinking needed for more senior technical product leadership roles.We value early, mid and late-career candidates and encourage all applicants with the posted skills and abilities to apply.ResponsibilitiesIdentify customer segments/personas and deeply understand needs, context, and journeyDocument and prioritize customer needsBe a customer advocate, helping others understand the customer context and representing customer needsGain knowledge of the industry in which customers/products/technologies convergeCoordinate with internal stakeholders; understand and prioritize their needs and directionHelp develop business cases and conduct feasibility analysis to justify product need/viabilityUnderstand business risks and develop/execute risk mitigation plans when requiredUnderstand and apply various global aspect of technical product management for products that are complex in nature and often enterprise-wideTranslate customer needs into product requirementsDocument and prioritize a backlog of product requirements with acceptance criterionAssist in establishing requirements for a Minimum Viable Product (MVP)Help establish product vision, objectives, and strategiesManage the product lifecycle, from customer understanding to end of lifeHelp establish and maintain a product plan and three-year roadmapUnderstand customer perceived product strengths, weaknesses, and overall valueRegularly report customer-facing product objectives and success metricsHelp ensure product success against product objectives & customer acceptanceEvaluate if product meets customer needs and approve product release accordinglyAssist with approving the customer service/support modelPartner to ensure that product training meets customer needsAssist in developing plans to increase product trial, adoption, and usageAssist in developing and executing product messaging, launch and ongoing awareness plansFacilitate customer-facing product training and order fulfillment materialsInform tracking of Total Cost of OwnershipQualificationsBachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent professional experienceFive years of relevant professional experienceCommunication – Strong verbal and written communicator who conveys ideas clearly to all stakeholdersCollaboration – Effective collaborator who listens respectfully, understands empathetically, and brings unityCreativity – Ability to appropriately address customer needs and business problemsOrganization – Organized and driven by repeatable system and set of work practicesLeadership/Influencer – Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Customer Understanding – Experience handling a variety of customer needs in technical environments.Product Lifecycle/Planning – Experience in Agile and Scrum environments including: methods, tools, systems and application.To successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for long periods of time and using computer monitors/equipment PreferredExperience with network infrastructure product (e.g., DDI, OSI Layer 1, VXLAN, EVGP, MPLS)Master’s Degree About UsChurch employees find joy and satisfaction in using their unique talents and abilities to further the Lord’s work.
