The Department of Ophthalmology at Mayo Clinic Arizona invites applications for an Ophthalmologist to join our team as an Ophthalmic Hospitalist Consultant. The successful candidate will join a supportive, team-oriented environment that values clinical excellence, professional growth, and continuous learning.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide inpatient and emergency ophthalmology consultations for a variety of acute and urgent conditions.Perform minor ophthalmic procedures at the bedside or in clinic, as appropriate.Evaluate and manage ocular emergencies, including open globe assessments.Collaborate with Emergency Medicine and other ophthalmology specialists to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.Participate in initiatives that enhance clinical quality, patient safety, and education.Qualifications• MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology.• Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Arizona.This position may be structured as either full‐time or part‐time, depending on departmental needs and candidate interest.
