This role focuses on ingesting, transforming, and managing diverse datasets including telemetry, sensor feeds, maintenance systems, and logistics data.The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring data quality, accessibility, and scalability for downstream analytics and operational decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop data ingestion pipelines for multiple data sources, including:Telemetry dataSensor feedsMaintenance and operational systemsLogistics and supply chain dataBuild and maintain ETL/ELT workflows for structured and unstructured dataNormalize, cleanse, and validate large datasets to ensure data integrityIntegrate data from various APIs and external systemsOptimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliabilityWork with data lakes and distributed data platformsCollaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineering teamsImplement best practices for data governance and securityRequired Skills & ExperienceStrong experience with Apache Spark for large-scale data processingHands-on experience with Apache Kafka or similar streaming platformsProficiency in SQL and NoSQL databasesExperience designing and working with data lakesExperience with API integration and data ingestion frameworksStrong understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data modellingAbility to work with both structured and unstructured dataPreferred / Nice-to-HaveExperience with real-time data processing and streaming architecturesExposure to sensor or telemetry data environmentsKnowledge of cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance practicesExperience in aerospace, defence, or other regulated industriesWork EnvironmentCollaborative, cross-functional data and engineering teamsHigh-impact, data-driven programsOpportunity to work with modern data architectures and large-scale systemsSummaryThis role is ideal for a data-focused engineer passionate about building scalable data pipelines and enabling advanced analytics.
