The AHD family of wholesale brands includes Made Goods (flagship furniture made from unique materials); Pigeon & Poodle (home and bath accessories); Blue Pheasant (handcrafted tabletop products); and Thucassi (artisanal candles and fragrances).Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you’ll ensure that the company has all the right supplies, materials, and services at the most competitive prices. You’ll be the go to person for all things purchasing. You will work closely with various departments to identify needs, source and evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage the purchasing process from start to finish.What you can do for us:Coordinate the purchasing process, from receiving internal purchase requisition to issuing purchase orders and managing receipts. Ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders. Source and evaluate vendors, research and identify qualified vendors based on quality, price, and delivery capabilities. Develop and maintain a comprehensive vendor database. Negotiate best pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and ensure favorable terms for the company. Maintain strong relationships with key vendors and foster a collaborative partnership. Maintain accurate and up to date purchasing records, including purchase orders, invoices, and receipts. Resolve any issues with discrepancies with orders, invoices, or deliveries in a timely mannerAssist in developing and implementing purchasing strategies to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Proven track record of negotiating and securing cost-effective contracts with vendors. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to identity and implement process improvement. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel. Excellent time management and prioritization skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracy.
