Buildings & Grounds TechnicianThe Buildings & Grounds Technician will ensure that all Amicalola EMC facilities and lawns are properly maintained and kept clean, creating a positive first impression for members and visitors. Main duties include: Responsible for the maintenance of all buildings and grounds Inspects buildings and grounds periodically, assesses problem areas, and coordinates or performs necessary repairs and maintenance Maintains heating and air conditioning systems, emergency generator, fueling system, and maintenance equipment Assists with preparation for annual and special meetings or events as required Performs other duties as assigned Skills and Abilities: Must demonstrate high integrity and the ability to apply critical thinking to solve problems Must be able to operate and maintain a variety of equipment related to the job Must possess strong time management skills and the ability to work independently Must be able to complete required forklift training Must maintain a valid driver's license; Commercial Driver's License preferred Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in general maintenance, including exposure to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and related building maintenance techniques preferred Experience in lawn care preferred This position will require: Frequent driving, walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, and kneeling Occasional climbing of ladders or working from lifts Ability to frequently lift or maneuver up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift 50100 pounds; and lift over 100 pounds with assistance Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions and moving mechanical parts Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and vibration Noise levels in the work environment may be moderate to loud Amicalola EMC offers an excellent benefits package that includes: Employer-sponsored defined benefit plan 401(k) Generous leave Paid holidays Medical, dental, and vision insurance Health Savings Account Disability insurance Life insurance Amicalola EMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disabled and veterans.
