Manager, Transformational Giving Strategy

We are strengthening how we manage and advance these relationships, ensuring that every engagement is intentional, coordinated, and moves forward with clarity and purpose.Your opportunity The Manager, Transformational Giving Strategy & Operations is responsible for managing the systems, processes, and coordination required to advance Mercy For Animals’ highest-value donor relationships. This role owns the operational management of a defined portfolio of top-tier donors, ensuring that each relationship progresses with clear strategy, consistent follow-through, and strong alignment across internal stakeholders. Working closely with Relationship Managers, senior leadership, and the CEO, this role drives engagement, accountability and execution across complex, high-priority donor engagements. This position is accountable for a critical function within the philanthropy team and requires strong judgment, cross-functional coordination, and a high degree of autonomy.You will do invaluable workTop Tier Pipeline Management Maintain a comprehensive and current view of all top-tier donor relationships, including stage, strategy, and next steps Ensure each donor/funder has a clearly defined plan, with assigned ownership and timelines Identify stalled opportunities and proactively drive next steps to maintain pipeline momentum Meeting Strategy & Preparation Prepare donor briefings, meeting materials, and talking points for senior leadership and the CEO Ensure each interaction has a defined objective, relevant context, and desired outcome Coordinate across teams to gather and synthesize relevant information in advance of meetings Follow-Up & Execution Accountability Track all post-meeting actions and commitments across stakeholders Ensure timely and consistent follow-up aligned with agreed-upon strategies Maintain accurate documentation of interactions and next steps within CRM and related systems Cross-Functional Coordination Align efforts across philanthropy, programs, communications, and executive leadership Support multi-stakeholder engagement strategies for complex individual and institutional donors Ensure consistency and continuity in donor engagement across internal  teams CEO Engagement Coordination Partner with executive support staff to coordinate and prioritize CEO engagement with top donors Support proactive planning of donor interactions in alignment with organizational priorities Ensure each CEO engagement is purposeful, strategic, and effectively leveraged By the end of the first 12–18 months, you will have: Established consistent visibility and accountability across all top-tier donor relationships Improved follow-up execution and continuity across donor interactions Increased pipeline velocity and effectiveness for principal donor engagement Strengthened coordination across teams supporting high-value donor relationships Contributed to increased revenue and long-term value from high-impact donors Your qualifications will help take Mercy For Animals to the next level: Experience in fundraising operations, donor strategy, project management, customer relations, or a related field Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail Ability to manage complex workflows and coordinate across multiple stakeholders Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfort working with senior leadership and high net worth individuals, and navigating cross-functional environments Ability to operate independently while aligning with broader strategic direction Experience working with CRM systems and tracking donor interactions Commitment to Mercy For Animals’ mission and values Commitment to continued personal and organizational growth in diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice principles
