Job Description: The host is the first point of contact for Guests and will set the tone for their dining experience. They are essential in creating an enjoyable dining experience that we aim to provide at Ember. Hosts must be friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable about the dining experience.Essential Functions:Warmly welcome GuestsIntake new Guests for seatingUse Toast to track open seats, clean & dirty tables, and seat guestsLead Guests to set tablesProcess cash transactionsProcess to-go orders Take orders in-person or over the phonePack ordersAssist servers with the following tasks based on workflow Setting tablesSpot-cleaning the floorClearing tablesPerform additional duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED certificateExcellent interpersonal and telephone communication skillsPrevious cash handling experienceDemonstrated commitment to providing exceptional Guest service; service oriented with a "Guests come first" mentalityPossesses a friendly, outgoing, positive and enthusiastic attitudeAbility to be professional and courteous with the general publicAble to exercise good judgment while working both independently and collaboratively; works well in a team environmentAble to work in a noisy and sometimes chaotic environment and be flexible under a variety of circumstancesPunctual, neat, and accurate in work habits; precise and detail-orientedAbility to work evenings, weekends, holidays and extended schedules during peak periodsThe ability to adjust to business needs and display a sense or urgency during peak hours.Valid ServSafe Food Handler's CertificatePreferred Qualifications:2 Years of previous host experiencePhysical DemandsAble to move from place to place which may include standing and/or walking for extended periods of timeLift and carry 20 lbs short distancesDress Code: Black button-up and black pants, non-slip shoesPay Range: $17.00/hr to $22.00/hr + TipsEmber Korean BBQ is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and values diversity, inclusion and respect.
