The distributive leadership of our Workplace studio enables us to mobilize comprehensive teams that can meet the requirements of virtually any workplace building project or program, regardless of size or location.Position SummaryDLR Group is seeking a Regional Workplace Leader to guide the strategic growth and performance of our Workplace sector in the Texas region. In this leadership role, you will partner with firmwide sector and regional leaders to advance market presence, strengthen client relationships, and deliver design excellence. You will lead business development strategies, support high-performing project teams, and mentor emerging talent while elevating the firm’s reputation through thought leadership and impactful work. This role is ideal for a collaborative leader who combines design insight, market awareness, and entrepreneurial drive to shape the future of the sector.What You Will DoPartner with sector and regional leadership to develop and implement strategies that support the growth and performance of the sector within the regionLead business development efforts, identify new opportunities, set strategy, and cultivate lasting client relationshipsCollaborate with design leaders, project teams, and regional leaders to pursue and deliver high-quality workPromote design excellence and innovation across projects while supporting the firm’s integrated design approachServe as a recognized thought leader through industry engagement, speaking opportunities, and professional involvementRepresent the sector internally and externally, sharing insights, accomplishments, and strategic prioritiesRecruit, mentor, and develop team members to support long-term growth and professional advancementParticipate in performance management and career development conversations for sector staffWork collaboratively with leadership to align staffing, resources, and business strategies with sector goalsTravel as needed to support client engagement, team collaboration, project delivery, and industry eventsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or a related fieldDemonstrated experience in a client-facing role leading large, complex projectsProven ability to drive strategic growth through client relationships, market engagement, and project pursuitsStrong understanding of design excellence, project delivery, and integrated team collaborationStrong network within the Texas Workplace marketExcellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage clients, partners, and internal teamsStrong business acumen with experience contributing to strategic planning and operational performanceAbility to lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams while mentoring and developing emerging talentPreferred QualificationsProfessional licensure in architecture, engineering, or interior designEstablished industry presence with involvement in professional organizations, conferences, or publicationsExperience leading complex, large-scale design or development projectsDemonstrated recognition for design excellence, thought leadership, or industry contributionsTO BE CONSIDERED, PLEASE SUBMIT CURRENT PORTFOLIO/WORK SAMPLES IN PDF FORMAT*DLR Group is an integrated design firm delivering architecture, engineering, interiors, planning, and building optimization for new builds, renovations, and adaptive reuse projects.We are 100% employee-owned: every employee is literally invested in our clients’ success.
