Measurement Technician
Measurement TechnicianWe are seeking a skilled Measurement Technician to support natural gas field operations by ensuring accurate, safe, and compliant measurement of gas flow. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting metering systems across production and midstream assets.The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in gas measurement, hands-on field experience, and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance. Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, inspect, and maintain gas meters, flow computers, regulators, and associated equipmentCalibrate and verify measurement devices to ensure accuracy and compliance with company and regulatory standardsDiagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues; perform corrective maintenance in the fieldCollect, analyze, and validate gas measurement data for reporting and billingConduct routine inspections of meter stations, pipelines, and measurement facilitiesAccurately document maintenance, calibrations, and inspections in company systemsEnsure compliance with DOT, OSHA, API, and AGA standardsSupport commissioning of new measurement sites and system upgradesCollaborate with operations, engineering, and SCADA teams to resolve measurement issuesMaintain safe work practices and actively participate in safety programs Required QualificationsWorking knowledge of natural gas measurement (orifice, ultrasonic, turbine meters)Experience with flow computers (e.g., Fisher ROC, ABB Totalflow)Strong troubleshooting and analytical skillsProficiency using calibration tools and testing equipmentFamiliarity with measurement software (FlowCal, TestIT, Cygnet/FMS, or similar)Ability to work independently in field environmentsWillingness to respond to after-hours callouts as needed Preferred Qualifications2–5 years of experience in gas measurement, pipeline operationsTechnical certification in instrumentation, electronics, or related fieldExperience with SCADA systems and data validation.Understanding of gas quality analysis (BTU, specific gravity, moisture, etc.). Work Environment & Physical RequirementsAbility to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks (climbing, bending, kneeling)Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbility to work around pressurized systems and in potentially hazardous environmentsWillingness to work in confined spaces when required
