Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Mechanisms Engineer to join a Federal Consulting company located in Midland, TX (fully on site). The Mechanisms Engineer will support the design, assembly, integration, and testing of spacecraft mechanisms, contributing to the rapid production and deployment of a next-generation satellite constellation. This work is 100% on site, with relocation assistance and meal stipend provided in addition to salary and benefits.Responsibilities of the Mechanisms Engineer:Assemble, integrate, and test spacecraft mechanisms, including thousands of moving parts per satelliteDevelop and operate ground support equipment for vibration, shock, and thermal vacuum testingAnalyze test data, determine pass/fail criteria, and support spacecraft integration and launch operationsCollaborate with engineers and technicians to ensure mechanism performance from design through mission deploymentTroubleshoot anomalies, perform root-cause analysis, and contribute to design improvementsRequirements for the Mechanisms Engineer:2+ years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or related engineering fieldsProficiency in mechanical assembly, testing, and integration of space hardwareExperience with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) and test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, thermal chambers)Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)Strong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsFlexibility for occasional weekend and early morning work (e.g., 4 AM deployments)Compensation for the Mechanisms Engineer:Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000+ depending on experienceComprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave as required by law, and Paid HolidaysAdditional Benefits: Relocation assistance, stock options, meal stipend, and unlimited PTO#LI-CW2#LI-ONSITEKeywords:Mechanisms Engineer, AIT, Aerospace, Satellite Integration, CAD, Creo, SolidWorks, Thermal Vacuum Testing, Vibration Testing, Ground Support Equipment, Test Engineering, Spacecraft, CubeSat, Launch Operations, Agile, Manufacturing, SpaceTech
