BD Manager, Inference Engine
About the RoleWe’re looking for a BD manager to drive the identification, execution, and commercialization of customer POC for our AI infrastructure platform. You’ll work closely with customers and internal engineering teams to turn early technical evaluations into long-term commercial partnerships. If you enjoy owning complex, high-impact initiatives end to end—and translating technical success into real business outcomes—this role is for you.What You’ll DoOwn and Drive Customer POCsIdentify, qualify, and source high-potential customer POCs aligned with strategic prioritiesOwn multiple concurrent POCs from initial scoping through final evaluationPartner directly with customers to understand technical needs, use cases, and success criteriaExecute and Deliver Technical EvaluationsDefine POC scope, milestones, timelines, and success metrics with customersCoordinate closely with Engineering to support setup, testing, and validationAct as the primary point of contact throughout the POC lifecycleEnsure high-quality delivery, proactive issue resolution, and clear stakeholder communicationCross-Functional CollaborationWork cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Operations teams to align customer requirements with internal capabilitiesDrive execution internally and unblock dependencies to keep POCs on trackConvert Technical Wins into RevenueLead the transition from successful POCs to commercial agreementsSupport pricing discussions, contract progression, and onboarding customers into production usageBuild trusted relationships that lead to long-term partnershipsWhat We’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field3–5+ years of experience in technical business development, customer engineering, technical account management, or similar rolesStrong technical acumen with the ability to discuss AI infrastructure concepts and workflows with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersProven ownership mindset—comfortable managing multiple workstreams in parallel and driving outcomesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsBased in (or willing to relocate to) Mountain View, CA for full-time, in-office collaborationWhy Join UsWork at the forefront of AI infrastructure and next-generation computingOwn highly visible customer initiatives with real commercial impactCollaborate with a world-class engineering and product teamShape how cutting-edge AI infrastructure is brought from prototype to production
