And when we watch our satellites launch, we know each one of us made it happen.The Strategic Sourcing Lead will own the development and performance of products and services through a well-defined sourcing strategy, key supplier relationships, cost-target achievement, and supplier growth that align with Millennium's mission and enterprise goals. This role partners with Global Supply Chain, Engineering, Programs, Quality, Business Development, and senior leadership to drive sustainable cost reductions, compliance, reduced supply risk and continuous delivery performance across key/critical suppliers and the related MSS programs. This position is fully onsite at our office in El Segundo, California.This position's internal job title is Supplier Program Mgmt. Our team is hiring for a level 4.Position Responsibilities:Leadership & StrategyLead strategic supplier development to meet cost, quality, delivery, and agreement targets that support increased ramp-up and production ratesBuild and maintain cross-functional relationships with Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Operations to identify and engage critical suppliersManage multiple commodity categories (mechanical, electronics, raw materials, etc.) and develop new sources of supplyDrive implementation of long-term agreements (LTAs, BPAs, TA's, MOU's) and establish clear supplier relationship frameworksSupport make/buy decisions and risk-mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of supplyOperational ExcellenceOversee key supplier relationships to ensure compliance with program requirements and company policiesForward thinking in sourcing needs and the related strategiesSolid supplier/product technical and sourcing knowledgeEnsure all agreements meet FAR/DFARS and CPSR standardsDevelop plans and timelines that define critical supplier risk, performance, availability, and value proposition targetsLead supplier strategy, supplier identification, supplier categorization, and supplier improvement initiativesPartner with internal stakeholders to guarantee key/critical supplier relationships and mutually beneficial relationshipsSupport internal, AS9100, and CPSR audit readiness activitiesSupplier Management & Relationship BuildingDrive supplier innovation, reduced lead times, and achievement of cost targetsManage supplier escalations and create recovery plans for schedule or quality issuesConduct key supplier evaluations, business reviews and lead performance improvement initiativesBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)8+ years of experience sourcing, including =3 years in a supplier development roleStrong knowledge of FAR/DFARS, supplier agreements, and CPSR-compliant procurement practicesExperience managing multiple commodities and supplier bases in an aerospace or defense environmentStrong price, terms and delivery negotiation experienceStrong executive presence and ability to present strategy and technical information for alignment and approval at multiple organizational levelsProficiency in PPT, Excel and Microsoft Office SuitePreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)Master's degree in business or supply chain managementAPICS/ASCM or CPSM certificationDemonstrated success implementing strategic sourcing and supplier development programsExcellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skillsStrong leadership presence with the ability to influence and engage at all organizational levelsConflict of InterestSuccessful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.Drug Free WorkplaceMillennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, is a Drug Free Workplace (DFW) where post-offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Total RewardsAt Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
