Occupational Therapist School Setting - Chugiak, AK

This contract opportunity is for an Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based services, located in Chugiak, AK. The role involves providing in-person therapy services during the normal school year at a public school setting. This position offers a full-time schedule with approximately 37.5 hours per week focused on direct student interaction.Key Responsibilities:Deliver occupational therapy evaluations, treatments, and interventions tailored to student needs within the school environment.Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support individualized education plans (IEPs).Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with state and district policies.Manage a caseload of approximately 16 hours (1000 minutes) of direct student contact weekly.Participate in ongoing professional development and school team meetings.Qualifications:Must hold current Alaska OT licensure.School-based experience preferred, with an emphasis on pediatric populations.Ability to work onsite; telehealth services are not considered viable for this early start.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Commitment to supporting the developmental and educational goals of the students.Location: Chugiak, AlaskaContract Type: Full-time, contract position onsitePosition Duration: Normal School Year (NSY), through May 21, 2027Benefits include working within a supportive educational setting focused on student growth and professional development opportunities.
