You will have the opportunity to create and maintain a collegial work environment and ensure organizational effectiveness, communication and efficiency. We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join as a key member of an active, enthusiastic and growing office.This role will have a significant impact through a variety of duties including, but not limited to:Essential SkillsCoordinates courier services and manages incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting, distribution, and tracking as neededAnswers, screens, and directs incoming phone calls in a professional mannerPrepares, types, and formats correspondence, reports, memos, charts, tables, graphs, and other business documentsProofreads and edits documents to ensure accuracy, clarity, grammar, and consistent formattingMaintains organized digital and physical filing systems for correspondence, reports, and project documentationSchedules and coordinates meetings, travel arrangements, conferences, social events, and departmental activitiesAssists with organizing surveying schedules and provides recording and research support for the survey department as requiredCollaborates with engineering teams to support project scheduling, timelines, and cross-functional coordinationPrepares and processes addendums and related project documentationGreets and assists clients, visitors, and vendors in a professional and welcoming mannerWorks closely with office leadership to support daily administrative and operational needsPerforms additional administrative duties as assigned to support overall office efficiencyMinimum Qualifications0–3 years of experience in an administrative, clerical, or office support role preferredBachelor’s degree preferredStrong attention to detail with a professional demeanorExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Basic understanding of office equipment and standard administrative systemsFamiliarity with clerical procedures, including recordkeeping and filing systemsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain reliabilityTravel Expectation None expected; subject to change if business needs dictate Physical Demands Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computerMovements such as bending, twisting, crouching, etc. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at timesBenefitsGain valuable experience in administrative tasks and office proceduresOpportunity to work closely with professionals in various departments Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veterans  About GMCWe believe in community, collaboration, and using the power of creativity and hard work to make a difference.  Whether designing schools, parks, hospitals and other commercial developments, or providing clean water, safe streets and restoring resilient environments, GMC takes great pride in serving our communities through the transformative work we do.
