Construction Project Manager

The Project Manager is responsible for evaluating bid specifications and drawings for construction projects. The Project Manager plans and oversees the building process of various construction projects from start to finish and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.Essential FunctionsPlans all phases of the construction lifecycle from initiation to completionFormulates and devises plan for project executionPrepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and requirements; setting prioritiesSolicits and maintains communication with subcontractors and vendorsEvaluates offers to purchase by costing changes, additions, and site requirementsPerforms take offs of blueprints and performs accurate job costing to ensure all costs and requirements are met to perform installsObtains and review submittals for reviewCommunicates with clients and delivers project progress reportsContacts supply houses to obtain additional vendor quotesIdentifies and assists with generating all change orders for assigned projectsMaintains quality service by following organizational standardsMaintains continuity among corporate, division, and local work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needsPrepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractorsVisit sites daily and records progress for accuracy in monthly billingOther FunctionsPerforms other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.High school diploma or GED.Job RequirementsHVAC construction project management experience – Minimum 3 yearsHVAC construction or service related experience – Minimum 3 yearsOSHA 30, First Aid, CPR certificationsAbility to read and interpret blue prints, submittals, related product data and shop drawingsReading and understanding of technical manuals and schematicsAbility to generate and follow a scheduleStrong communication, leadership, organizational, problem solving, and time-management skillsKnowledge of local, state, and federal building code regulationsProficiency in Microsoft applicationsExperience with ProcoreExperience with job costing and progressive billingAbility to speak effectively with customers one-on-oneAbility to multi-taskPhysical Demands and Working EnvironmentFast-paced environmentWork is performed in a mixture of field and office environments approximately 70/30Travel within DFW required.Reasonable Accommodations StatementTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to complete each essential function (job duty/requirement) satisfactorily.
