Registered Nurse (RN) - Correctional Facility (Night Shift) Location: Moravia, NY Duration: 26 Weeks (Potential extension up to 104 weeks)Start Date: May 18, 2026Schedule: 5x8-Hour Shifts | 40 Hours/WeekShift Timing: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM Position Overview Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive healthcare services within a secure correctional facility setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care while adhering to all facility policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Conduct sick calls and assess patient health conditions Administer medications, including insulin and emergency treatments Perform triage and respond to medical emergencies (e.g., asthma attacks, Narcan administration) Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation Assist with emergency room transfers as needed Manage incidents including injuries, employee accidents, and other medical emergencies Support documentation and reporting for sensitive cases, including abuse/assault Perform routine health screenings and monitor chronic conditions Ensure compliance with safety protocols and controlled environments Collaborate with healthcare providers and facility staff to ensure coordinated care Qualifications Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) License (Required) Minimum 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience (correctional experience preferred) Strong assessment, triage, and emergency response skills Experience in medication administration and chronic disease management Ability to work effectively in a secure, high-pressure environment Excellent documentation and communication skills Must pass background check prior to start COVID-19 vaccination required (medical exemptions only) For more details contact Call / Text at .
