System Administrator V-DB2 DBA

*Responsibilities include full life cycle management of DB2 mainframe databases from analysis through decommission. Additionally, the Individual will be involved in DB2 related z/Os Database initiatives, including DB2 Database Universal Tablespace conversions, Image Copy Backup Remediation, Data replication, Db2 RACF support, Db2 Version 13 migration.* *Day to day activities would include:* *Develop REXX programs to support Database and JIRA activities* *Develop and implement Recovery strategy to support Cyber MRAactivities* *Support Db2DBA team with databasemaintenance¿* *Conduct information sharing meetings with the application teams when requested* *Monitoring and addressing items on exception reports to ensure a stable productionenvironment¿* *Performance tuning support and recommendations for database calls, in cooperation with the application development team* *Support of product upgrades related to DB2 upgrade andreplication providing a focal communication point for development teams as well as completing owned DBA remediation activities, executing internal verification processes, conducting assessments of new feature/function and providing recommendations for use* *Support RACFinitiativesand support application teamaddressingDb2access issues¿* *¿Position requires in-depthMainframe DB2 DBA (DB2 on Z/oS) knowledge* *Individual should have minimum of 7-9 years of DB2 DBA experience on z/Os at a single large financial institution* *In depth working knowledge of JCL and ISPF* *Working knowledge QREP and CDC a plus* *Experience with DB2 Utilities including IBM and BMC* *Working knowledge of BMC tools including change manager, catalog manager, Mainview, and SQL performance* *Solid understanding of DB2 recovery options* *Broad understanding of ACF2 and RACF2 managed security for DB2 Access* *Working knowledge of Endevor* *Working knowledge of JIRA* *Working Knowledge of Slunk a plus* *REXX programming* *Python programming a plus* *Strong Verbal and Written Communication skills* Job Type: Contract Pay: $55.00 - $62.00 per hour Schedule: * 8 hour shift Experience: * DBA: 10 years (Required) * DB2: 10 years (Required) * LUW: 10 years (Required) * Mainframe: 4 years (Required) * REXX: 3 years (Required) * Databases: 1 year (Required) Ability to Relocate: * Jacksonville, FL 32204: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
