Program Analyst Intern

Program Analyst InternThe Missions, Concepts and Capabilities (MCC) division of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking a Program Analyst Intern to support our contract with the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research & Engineering OUSW(R&E). The Program Analyst Intern will work closely with our team of program analysts, project managers, and government clients. This role requires mature judgement and provides the opportunity to interface directly with external stakeholders and Government personnel. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience. We are looking for a full-year candidate who can work on government site. This position is full-time for approximately 12 weeks during the summer, and part-time (at least 10 hours/week) during the fall and spring semesters. The intern will work on-site in a professional office environment. This is a paid internship. Please note that ARA does not provide housing assistance or relocation stipends. The selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility access to classified information. The Program Analyst Intern will be responsible for supporting the team in a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: Help analyze and evaluate project proposals to ensure they align with program goals. Support the project management team in monitoring project execution and schedules. Assist in tracking project efforts to help identify potential issues. Support systems trade-off studies and technical analysis for various projects. Assist with technical analysis for proposed, ongoing, or completed projects. Help the team oversee projects from inception through transition, paying attention to technical metrics and milestones. Help develop documents, briefing materials, and responses to data calls. Support the team in engaging with technical and non-technical audiences, including within the DoW, industry, and academia Required Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a Master's degree program in a relevant STEM field, Business Administration, International/Foreign Affairs, or a related technical discipline. Must be a US citizen eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Strong writing, speaking, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. An analytic mindset, with strong problem-solving abilities and an eagerness to learn. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint). Desired Qualifications: Knowledge of OUSW(R&E) or Defense RDT&E. Military or related operational experience. Current DoD/DoW Secret Clearance (or above).
