Platform Engineer

Our client is looking to hire an Infrastructure Workplace Platform Engineer II to support their enterprise endpoint environment and printing infrastructure across the organization. This role will focus heavily on Windows and MacOS support, endpoint policy management, enterprise print services, and operational reporting within a fast-paced End User Services environment.This role is hybrid onsite 3 days per week in Salisbury, NC.Contract : 6-months (possibility of extension)HybridResponsibilities: Support and manage enterprise Windows 10/11 and MacOS environmentsAdminister endpoint policies and configurations through MECM (SCCM), Microsoft Intune, GPOs, and compliance baselinesHandle ticket triage, escalations, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for endpoint-related issuesPartner with business users and internal teams to resolve technical issues and identify recurring trendsMaintain ServiceNow incidents, change requests, and knowledgebase documentationSupport endpoint hygiene, patching, security hardening, and compliance initiativesCreate dashboards, reporting, and executive-ready updates using Excel and PowerPointSupport enterprise printing platforms including Canon uniFLOW and Lexmark MarkVisionManage print drivers, queues, print server policies, firmware updates, and secure print workflowsMonitor printer fleet health, analyze print metrics, and implement process improvementsCoordinate deployment schedules, pilot groups, and change communications with business stakeholdersMaintain SOPs, technical runbooks, and operational documentationWhat We’re Looking For3+ years of experience in End User Computing, Workplace Engineering, or Endpoint EngineeringHands-on experience with MECM (SCCM) and Microsoft IntuneStrong experience supporting Windows 10/11 and MacOS environmentsExperience with ServiceNow including incidents, changes, and knowledgebase managementStrong troubleshooting, organizational, and multitasking skillsAdvanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for reporting and presentationsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to leadershipAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentNice to HaveExperience with Active Directory, Azure AD, and Group Policy ManagementPowerShell scripting and endpoint automation experienceExperience with Autopilot, co-management, MDT, WinRE, and OS deployment solutionsKnowledge of Canon uniFLOW, Lexmark MarkVision, or similar enterprise print management toolsFamiliarity with ITIL practices and SLA-driven support environmentsExperience with print server administration and secure print workflowsRelevant certifications such as Microsoft Endpoint Administrator (MD-102), jamf, or ITIL 4 FoundationOccasional experience supporting after-hours deployments or maintenance windows
