Java Lead Developer

Key ResponsibilitiesLead end‑to‑end delivery of Java/Spring Boot microservices from discovery to production hardening.Define and document service contracts, domain models, and data access patterns for graph data (nodes, relationships, traversals, path queries).Design event‑driven architectures using Kafka/Pulsar; implement idempotent consumers, retries, DLQs, and schema governance.Optimize performance for low latency and high concurrency; conduct JVM tuning and load testing.Champion secure coding (OWASP), secrets management, and compliance requirements (PCI DSS/SOX) in CI/CD.Establish engineering best practices: code reviews, testing strategy, trunk‑based development, observability (metrics, logs, traces).Partner with Data, Risk, and Fraud teams to model complex relationships (customer 360, AML/KYC, fraud rings, entitlements).Guide the team in schema evolution, data lineage, and migration strategies from RDBMS to graph.Mentor engineers; perform technical interviews; contribute to roadmap and capacity planning.Own production readiness: SLIs/SLOs, runbooks, on‑call rotation, incident review, and continuous improvement.Required QualificationsStrong Java 11+ (preferably Java 17) and Spring Boot ecosystem (Spring WebFlux/MVC, Spring Data, Security, Actuator).Graph DB expertise: Neo4j/Neptune/JanusGraph; query languages like Cypher, Gremlin, or SPARQL; graph modeling & traversal optimization.Microservices design & development; REST/gRPC; API versioning; contract testing (Pact/OpenAPI).Messaging/Streaming: Kafka (topics, partitions, consumer groups), schema registry (Avro/Protobuf).Datastores: RDBMS (PostgreSQL/Oracle/MySQL) and caching (Redis); familiarity with CQRS and event sourcing.Cloud: AWS/Azure/GCP with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS/AKS/GKE).DevOps: CI/CD (GitHub Actions/Jenkins/Argo CD), infrastructure as code (Terraform/CloudFormation), automated testing (JUnit/Mockito/Testcontainers), static analysis (SonarQube), SAST/DAST.Observability: Prometheus/Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK/EFK; distributed tracing.Proven leadership: backlog grooming, story slicing, estimation, and cross‑functional collaboration.
