Electrical Apprentice
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Apprentice to join our dynamic construction and electrical services team. Responsibilities
Assist senior electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems according to project specifications and safety standards. Support the interpretation of blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to facilitate accurate wiring and component placement. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as conduit bending, wire pulling, and device installation. Help with the setup and operation of testing equipment including ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools to identify electrical issues. Participate in construction site activities, adhering to safety protocols related to high voltage and low voltage systems. Learn to read and understand electrical schematics, NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements, and technical manuals. Assist with framing carpentry tasks when required for electrical installations within construction projects. Contribute to the organization of materials and ensure proper handling of electrical components on-site.
Experience
Previous experience working with industrial or commercial electrical systems is preferred but not required; however, familiarity with construction site environments is advantageous. Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters is essential. Experience reading blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings related to electrical installations will be highly beneficial. Understanding of low voltage systems as well as high voltage applications is desirable for comprehensive training purposes. Candidates with exposure to NEC standards or previous construction experience will adapt quickly to project requirements. Prior involvement in framing carpentry or general construction activities can provide a valuable foundation for this apprenticeship role. A strong commitment to safety practices on construction sites is mandatory for all applicants.
