CIPP Laborer
Job SummaryProvide support and assistance to the other skilled crafts working on the project. ResponsibilitiesAssist in the installation of CIPP including installing packers to CIPP in the manhole.Follows direction of foreman to perform miscellaneous assigned tasks, including driving, digging, pulling, pushing, lifting, measuring, cutting, marking, recording, positioning, aligning, sealing, and reading prints/drawingsExhibits safe work practices by following company rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programsTakes action to avoid potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers and falling objectsPerforms a wide variety of manual labor tasks involving dexterous use of hand tools such as pneumatic, electric and hand toolsMaintain a clean work environment, pick up all tools and equipment to secure job site each day to eliminate potential hazardsPrepare job site and load/unload equipment and materialsPerform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle/equipment inspectionsAdhere to B&F Code of ConductRequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalent work experienceMust have flexibility in personal schedule including out of town work, long weekdays and occasional night and weekend workStrong focus on safety, quality, accountability, integrity, and teamworkOSHA and related safety training a plusAbility to stand and exert physical effort performing manual labor most of the dayAbility to lift up to 60 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionallyAbility to work in confined spacesWillingness to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hard hat, eye protection, reflective vest, gloves and composite-toed bootsAbility to work in severe weather conditions, including extreme heatKnowledge of hand and power toolsKnowledge or experience in underground dry and/or wet utility installation a plusKnowledge of street and highway traffic rules and regulations, and safety precautions to be observed in working on or near roads and highways.Ability to detect unsafe or hazardous conditions of equipment and work environment.Thorough knowledge of safety standards and Underground Facilities Law (Blue Stake, Arizona 811)Hold/obtain and maintain an OSHA 10 Certification.Good communication skills and the ability to interact in a team environmentReliable transportationBilingual English/Spanish a plusAbility to pass pre-employment and random drug testsWork EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to:Wet and/or humid conditionsMoving mechanical partsPrecarious places/confined spacesFumes or airborne particlesOutside weather conditionsExtreme heatFrequent and/or sustained loud noisesThe employee is occasionally exposed to:Toxic or caustic chemicalsRisk of electrical shockRisk of vibration
