Our client is a technology-driven investment firm that uses data, automation, and proprietary technology to identify and scale opportunities across trading, fintech, and strategic investments. The organization operates a diverse portfolio of businesses and emphasizes innovation, efficiency, and disciplined financial management across all entities. The Assistant Controller will be responsible for managing the general ledger and consolidations across multiple entities within a complex structure. This role partners closely with corporate accounting, AP, treasury, payroll, and FP&A to ensure accurate financial reporting, efficient close processes, and strong internal controls. Key Responsibilities Oversee corporate accounting and manage a team while coordinating with AP, treasury, payroll, and FP&A Lead multi-entity consolidations, including intercompany activity, capital flows, and investment/M&A accounting Manage and streamline the month-end and year-end close process with accurate financial reporting Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization across controllership Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies Support external audits and financial reporting requirements Develop and train accounting staff to build a high-performing team Evaluate and enhance accounting systems and tools (ERP and reporting platforms) Your Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred 5–7 years of experience in a complex, multi-entity environment Strong experience with month-end close and consolidations US GAAP knowledge; SEC/PCAOB familiarity a plus Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) Strong project management and analytical skills Detail-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset High integrity and strong professional standards
