Role name: Sr. Data Ontologist Work site: Seattle, WA - remote Job Description: Competencies and skills: Ontology, taxonomy, and controlled vocabulary development Classification/indexing Knowledge of W3C semantic web standards: SKOS, RDF, OWL Data catalog analysis and metadata best practices Metadata standards: ANSI/NISO Z39.19-2005, Dublin Core/DCMI, SCHEMA.org, ISO familiarity Experience with taxonomy and knowledge management tools such as Synaptica Graphite, PoolParty, Semaphore, etc. Ideal candidate would have background in library or information science Responsibilities and tasks: Create an inventory of metadata across various metadata systems Index/tag data assets with tags (e.g. domains, subdomains, source) Collaborate on and implement new naming standards for data products in Databricks Thanks & Regards, Sriram Chaganti Talent Acquisition Specialist | United Software Group Inc.
