Fall Software Engineering Intern – Full-Stack

About Us:We’re a small, ambitious startup building a secure, user-friendly app for creators. As a non-technical founder, I’m seeking a motivated student who’s excited to contribute technically, learn fast, and help shape the product from the ground up.Role Overview:You’ll be our primary technical contributor, working directly with the founder to make the app robust, secure, and delightful for our first users. This is a hands-on, learning-first internship where you’ll test workflows, fix bugs, build features, and approach all code with security in mind.Key Responsibilities:Test core app workflows (sign up, login, content creation) to find bugs and improve usability.Fix bugs and implement features—front-end or back-end, based on your strengths.Apply secure coding practices (guided by provided resources like OWASP Top Ten and checklists).Help document processes, findings, and technical decisions.Collaborate directly with the founder; respond to user feedback from early testers to refine workflows.Learn and implement basic app security best practices, especially around authentication and data handling.You Could Be a Great Fit If You:Are currently enrolled in a 4 year university with at least 60 credits. Have familiarity with Full-Stack Development using React through projects or past internshipsHave strong problem-solving skills and communicate clearly.Are proactive and excited about learning on the job—especially in a startup context.Bonus: Git/Github, API Integration (not required, but helpful!).What You’ll Get:Direct impact on building and shipping a real product for creators.Exposure to secure software development and QA in an early-stage startup environment.Mentorship, autonomy, and the chance to grow alongside our company.Flexible, remote-friendly work structure.
