What To ExpectThe Production Manager will report to the Senior Manufacturing Manager and will be responsible for meeting the production plan and driving continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing processes. They will also provide leadership and coaching to the team, and will be hands-on, when needed, to meet the goals and objectives of TeslaWhat You'll DoBuild a strong, motivated production team capable of consistently delivering high-quality products against aggressive production targetsMaintain high product quality and manufacturing yield while ensuring optimal use of resources and adherences to best safety practicesEnsure production teams utilize standardized work and consistent work practices across shifts and areas Monitor metrics and Key Performance Indicator's (KPI's) to assess Safety, Quality, Delivery and CostHelp with implementation of and continued adherence to Lean manufacturing and 5S initiativesPartner and Coordinate with Design, Engineering, Quality, HR and Maintenance to resolve issues and concernsTesla people leaders are responsible for a variety of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) assurance functions, including ensuring their teams’ safety training is current, documenting EHS incidents, proactively correcting workplace hazards in the areas, and empowering others to continuously improve operationsWhat You'll Bring10 years of manufacturing experience preferredHands-on experience with electro-mechanical assembly.
