Community Living Caregiver (DSP)
Are you a caregiver interested in supporting some fantastic adults in their own homes or apartments? Our Community Living team will train you on how to work with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who live in our community and enjoy attending community events. You will primarily work with individuals in their homes, helping them to become more competent with their activities of daily living.
Social opportunities are a natural part of the Community Living program at Independence Association. Community integrated activities link the people we support with community members to build healthy relationships and achieve the highest level of independence.
We are currently looking for to fill a full-time position, 8-hour shifts, 5 days/week (Monday-Friday). Occasional week nights may be worked for special activities, and weekday schedule can then be flexed.
We are also looking to fill a part-time position (Tuesday 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM, Wednesday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Thursday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM).
PAY: $17.25 - $20.00/hour *WE PAY WEEKLY!

Requirements
Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Must be able to take courses to become certified as a Direct Support Professional. Paid training is provided.
Must be good with people, outgoing, enjoy being in the community, who can work both independently and as a team player.
Must be comfortable, or willing to learn how to support, individuals with various levels of disability in a variety of different settings.
