SMP Security is currently hiring for Event Security! Starting pay $15 an hour Qualifications: 18 years of age or older has a high school diploma or equivalent has dependable transportation must be able to pass an extensive background check has military service (not required, but preferred) previous security experience (not required, but preferred) must be great with people Typical Duties include: Guest Screening – Check in guests and request they empty pockets, show contents. Ensure prohibited items do not enter the event space. Direct them to the metal detector and use a wand to scan them if necessary. Access & Crowd Control - Maintain presence at key areas to prevent unauthorized persons entering. Checking patron credentials. Ensuring alcoholic beverages do not leave approved areas. Traffic – Stand outside ensuring traffic and transportation vendors are in the proper place for pedestrians to traverse safely.
