Licensed Practical NurseLocation: UBMD Primary Care – 3875 N Buffalo Rd, Orchard Park, NY 14127Schedule: Monday - Friday; based on 37.5 hours per weekPay Range: $24.00–$26.00/hourStatus: Full-Time, Non-Exempt AA/EOEAbout the RoleUBMD Primary Care is seeking a compassionate, detail‑oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support our Orchard Park outpatient clinic. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys direct patient care, thrives in a fast‑paced clinical environment, and brings strong communication and organizational skills to every interaction. Experienced LPNs and new graduates are encouraged to apply.What You'll DoIn this role, you'll use your clinical, technical, and patient‑care skills to support providers and ensure efficient clinic flow. Responsibilities include:Clinical Care & Patient SupportEscorting patients to exam rooms and completing clinical intakeObtaining vitals and documenting patient history in the EMRAdministering immunizations, injections, and point‑of‑care testsAssisting providers with exams, procedures, and treatmentsPreparing and maintaining exam rooms, equipment, and suppliesPackaging and processing specimens for laboratory analysisCare Coordination & CommunicationCommunicating care plans, test results, and instructions to patientsProviding patient education based on diagnoses and provider guidanceManaging e‑scribe refill requests and patient portal messagesEnsuring charts and records are complete and accurate for each visitOperational SupportReviewing and completing provider ordersScheduling tests or follow‑up appointments when neededMaintaining vaccine records and clinic supply inventorySupporting phone triage and call coverage as neededFollowing HIPAA, OSHA, infection‑control, and safety standardsReview and respond to company email daily.Troubleshoot office issues and standardize procedures for efficiency.Perform additional duties as assigned by program leadership.Ability to work at least 37.5 hours per week on a regular basis.Skills That Lead to Success - We're looking for candidates who can demonstrate:Core SkillsStrong clinical judgment and patient‑care abilitiesExcellent communication and customer‑service skillsAbility to multitask and stay organized in a busy clinicFlexibility and adaptability to changing patient needsTeamwork, professionalism, and reliabilityTechnical SkillsEMR proficiencyVital signs and clinical intakeImmunizations and injectionsPoint‑of‑care testingSpecimen handlingBasic office technology (phones, scanning, faxing)QualificationsGraduate of an accredited LPN program; Associate's degree preferred1–2 years of nursing experience preferred (outpatient experience ideal)New graduates welcome to applyEMR experience helpfulStrong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills requiredMust hold an active New York State LPN licenseWork EnvironmentFast‑paced outpatient clinicFrequent standing, walking, and patient interactionLight lifting up to 15 lbsExposure to typical clinical hazards (needles, body fluids)May occasionally travel to other UBMD Primary Care locationsAdditional InformationEmployment is contingent upon a successful background check and drug screen.
