Software Engineer (Mid-Level)

Job Title: Software Engineer (Mid-Level) Location: Hybrid (50/50 Remote and Onsite) Clearance: TS Clearance required About the Role We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and management of innovative application development projects supporting critical IT infrastructure. In this role, you will work on integrating third-party components, enhancing existing code, and introducing new capabilities while driving automation and process improvements. Your technical expertise in Java, AWS, Vue.js, Spring Boot, ElasticSearch, Apache TIKA, and Apache NiFi will enable you to build and deploy scalable, efficient applications. You will also collaborate with lead architects on complex data processing, statistical modeling, and advanced analytics projects. Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and manage application development projects supporting IT infrastructure. Integrate third-party components, modify existing code, and introduce new custom capabilities. Automate operations and maintenance tasks to improve efficiency. Collaborate with lead architects to design, build, and deploy scalable applications. Handle large-scale data processing, computationally intensive statistical modeling, and advanced analytics. Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance. Conduct technical project milestone reviews, code architecture sessions, resource estimations, and knowledge transfer of development best practices. Qualifications Required: Experience: 6+ years in software engineering or related fields. Technology Expertise: Proficiency in Java, AWS, Vue.js, Spring Boot, ElasticSearch, Apache TIKA, and Apache NiFi. Demonstrated experience in designing, building, and deploying scalable applications. Strong understanding of data processing, statistical modeling, and advanced analytics. Familiarity with integrating third-party components and automating O&M tasks. Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. Clearance: Active TS Clearance required. Preferred: Knowledge of development best practices, including code architecture and resource estimation.
