Little Girl and Tween Designer

Roller Rabbit is seeking a Children’s Designer who is passionate about creating joyful, playful product with a strong design point of view. This role will report to the Design Director and will be responsible for driving the creative vision, design execution, and seasonal development of our children’s assortment.The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of children’s apparel and lifestyle product, and is equal parts creative and detail oriented. They thrive in a fast paced, collaborative environment and are excited to create product that is imaginative, functional, and aligned with the Roller Rabbit brand aesthetic. This designer will contribute across multiple categories including pajamas, loungewear, ready to wear, and swim.ResponsibilitiesDesign seasonal children’s assortments across categories including pajamas, loungewear, casuals, knits/cut & sew, and ready to wearThis designer will also partner with our swim designer on kids swim, and help advise on safety requirements & most up to date regulationsOwn design programs from concept through production handoff, ensuring seasonal timelines and deliverables are metResearch trends and conduct competitive shopping to inform seasonal silhouette, color, print, and category directionDevelop seasonal inspiration and concept presentations highlighting key materials, prints, trims, and silhouettesCreate sketches and color CADs for seasonal development boards and collection line sheets.Partner closely with Print Design to develop print direction and ensure color accuracy and quality standardsCollaborate with Product Development, Merchandising, and Production to align on development calendars, costing targets, and assortment strategyCommunicate with overseas factories on sourcing, sampling, proto development, and tech pack executionSupport fabric, trim, and component development appropriate for children’s product with attention to comfort, durability, and safety standardsEnsure designs meet children’s apparel construction, fit, and product safety requirementsIdentify opportunities for innovation in materials, silhouettes, and category expansion within the children’s businessQualificationsStrong sketching ability and design point of view5 to 7 years apparel design experience, children’s experience preferredBachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field preferredKnowledge of children’s apparel construction, fit, and compliance regulationsAdvanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and PhotoshopAbility to create color CADs and presentation boardsStrong organization and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple projects within seasonal calendarsCollaborative, cross functional working styleExperience with Miro or similar collaboration tools a plusBenefits:Medical, Dental & Vision insuranceHybrid work schedule – 3 days in officeUnlimited PTOPaid company holidaysSummer FridaysGenerous company discount and allowance
