The day-to-day responsibilities of this role include overseeing assigned F&B hosts, food safety and sanitation, guest service, food preparation, monitoring financial transactions, and quality controls.This position also participates in the recruitment, scheduling, timekeeping, reporting and training activities for the F&B department, to ensure a smooth and safe daily operation.We Are Currently Looking For aStory Land - Food & Beverage Operations Supervisor (Seasonal)Roles & ResponsibilitiesRole & Responsibilities:Supervisory DutiesSupervise the daily operations of the F&B team and any other assigned departmentsLead by example, attitude, and as a representation of Story Land’s core valuesAct as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned hostsBecome knowledgeable of performing the essential duties of all assigned F&B positions and backfill these positions when neededParticipate in all aspects of supervision of assigned hosts, including hiring, orientation, training, performance coaching, and discipline.Ensure that all required meal and other breaks are being given in accordance with New Hampshire lawAssist with host scheduling and timekeeping activitiesDepartmental DutiesWelcome all guests with a smile and positive attitude!Performs opening and closing procedures of assigned unit(s) including food preparation and cleanup.Practices, teaches and enforces proper food safety guidelines adhering to company policy and state/local Health Department requirements.Maintains all alcohol safety practices when applicable.Maintains compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe environment for colleagues and guests.Handles and resolves escalated guest concerns and criticisms with a positive attitude to deescalate.Oversees quality controls and production of food items.Manages inventory, focusing on portion and waste controls.Interfaces with warehouse on product and supply needs.Interfaces with maintenance on all equipment or physical plant needs.All other duties assigned by leadership.Education And ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalent preferred Equivalent work experience will also be considered2-3 years of previous work experience in food service, quick service, or restaurant setting1+ previous supervisory experience a plus, preferably in a food or restaurant settingPrevious amusement park, theme park, or waterpark experience a plusMust become Food Handler Safety Certified (ServSafe or similar) or become so within 90 days of hire, when required by state and local guidelines.Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.RequirementsMust be at least 18 years of age to comply with New Hampshire Child Labor LawsAbility to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysMust have negative TB test results within the last 2 yearsMust have reliable transportation to and from your scheduled shiftAbility to comply with all uniform policiesMust possess safety-oriented mindset and understand the importance of complying with all state, and local food preparation and serving regulationsMust possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional mannerMust be able to speak with guests directly when other F&B leadership is not presentAbility to handle high-pressure situations, meet the demands of constant deadlines and coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.Must possess strong written and verbal communication skillsMust possess strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesPrevious experience with Point of Sale (POS) technology and PCI compliance a plusPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workdayAbility to occasionally stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shouldersAbility to withstand heat and humidity from the food preparation equipmentAbility to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 30 pounds or moreWorking ConditionsThis role will be based in one or more food stall and/or restaurant locations throughout the park, with exposure to both indoor and outdoor environmentsSubject to frequent interruptions and requests that may require reprioritization of activitiesFrequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain and other weather conditionsSubject to constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, and heavily populated environmentsWorking at Story Land is about making people happy!
