Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant Location: Punta Gorda, FL Agency: Tribal Health Pay: $1,300 to $1,400 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinician who understands and respects the values of our tribal communities. Together, staff will provide care that meets the needs of the community and offers a meaningful and culturally responsive experience for both patients and their families. Duties and Responsibilities Implement occupational therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional activities Provide training in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, bathing, eating, and toileting Instruct patients in the safe and effective use of assistive and adaptive equipment Support motor, cognitive, and fine motor skill development Monitor patient progress and adjust activities within established treatment plans Document therapy sessions accurately and communicate patient progress or concerns to the supervising OT Assist patients across the lifespan maintaining or improving independence at home, school, work, or in the community Requirements Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications Licensure: Associate degree from ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Clinical Fieldwork hours Passing of NBCOT State licensure/certification CE for Certification Certifications: BLS (AHA) Immunizations: Based on client need Experience required: Based on client need Schedule: Based on client need Benefits Why Tribal Health?
