The company plays an important role in advancing the digital transformation of Swiss healthcare.## About the RoleMediData is looking for a Platform Engineer to help develop, automate, operate, and continuously improve its private cloud platform.In this role, you will work closely with specialized platform and product teams to build reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure. You will focus on DevOps automation, self-service solutions, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, security, and platform engineering.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Platform or DevOps Engineer who wants to contribute to a technically demanding environment while supporting the digitalization of the Swiss healthcare system.## Key Responsibilities* Develop, automate, and operate MediData's private cloud platform.* Work with technologies including OpenShift, ArgoCD, CI/CD, S3 storage, ActiveMQ, OracleDB, and PostgreSQL.* Develop self-service solutions that enable product teams to manage deployments and environments independently.* Support product teams with security, compliance, and monitoring requirements.* Contribute to maintaining standards such as ISO 27001.* Collaborate with product teams and the architecture community on DevOps processes and strategic platform decisions.* Evaluate new technologies and assess their potential for platform development.* Continuously improve platform automation, reliability, stability, and security.* Help establish efficient and standardized infrastructure and deployment processes.## Required Qualifications* Higher-level education in Computer Science or a comparable qualification, such as a degree from a University of Applied Sciences, ETH, or university.* Professional experience operating cloud infrastructures and working in DevOps and IT operations environments.* Strong knowledge of OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.* Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.* Knowledge of GitOps and Infrastructure as Code concepts.* Experience with tools such as Ansible for infrastructure automation.* Familiarity with secrets management solutions.* Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK Stack.* Strong security awareness and an understanding of secure infrastructure practices.* Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.* Very good German communication skills.* Good technical English skills, both written and spoken.* Relevant professional certifications are considered an advantage.## What We Offer### Innovative EnvironmentWork in a dynamic organization that encourages innovative ideas and actively contributes to the digital transformation of Swiss healthcare.### Flexible Working ConditionsEnjoy flexible working hours and remote-work opportunities designed to support a healthy work-life balance.### Modern TechnologiesWork with modern cloud, DevOps, containerization, automation, and monitoring technologies alongside a highly skilled technical team.### Professional DevelopmentMediData supports continuous professional development through training programs, workshops, conferences, and other learning opportunities.## Job Details**Job Title:** Platform Engineer / DevOps Engineer**Company:** Prime21 AG / MediData**Location:** Luzern, Switzerland**Work Type:** Remote**Employment Type:** Full-time**Posted:** September 1, 2026
