Electrical Engineer (Contractor)
The roleBuild the first machine with us.Laurelin is standing up its first test bench in San Francisco. This contract role covers the electrical build that gets the bench running: power distribution, instrumentation wiring, grounding, control-rack assembly, and checkout of the first coil articles.You would work on site with the founding engineering team. The scope is defined per statement of work, and strong contract work here converts to a larger role as the program grows.What you would ownBuild, wire, and label control racks, distribution panels, and instrumentation runs to the bench drawing set.Execute grounding, bonding, and isolation plans for a pulsed-power environment.Run low-voltage checkout, continuity, and insulation verification ahead of energized testing.Document as-built deviations and keep the wiring records current with the drawing set.What we are looking forHands-on electrical build experience: panels, racks, harnesses, and instrumentation wiring.Ability to read and redline electrical drawings and single-line diagrams.Disciplined workmanship and documentation habits in a test or lab environment.Especially usefulExperience around capacitor banks, high-voltage systems, or pulsed test stands.Familiarity with EMI-aware routing, shielding, and grounding practice.
