Senior Accountant/Supervisor
Work Experience: 2.5+ years’ accounting experience. A minimum of one year supervisory/managerial experience is desired.
Education/Other: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics or Business with 24 credit hours in Accounting. Knowledge of Government financial and accounting standards/practices/principles. Good verbal and written communication skills, including knowledge of proper grammar and punctuation, is required.
Responsibilities: Supervises contractor staff. Ensures that payments are processed timely and accurately. Resolves customer service issues elevated by the team. Responds to and coordinates a response to federal management for unexpected priorities. Coordinates the support for external audits. For oversight of tax requirements: Ensures compliance with tax laws. Oversees reconciling and filing of quarterly and annual compensation reports, and issue individual compensation reports for tax purposes including W-2, W-3, 1099 and 941 forms.
