Payroll Specialist

DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support a hospitality and restaurant operation in New York, New York. This is a part-time Contract position focused on processing payroll accurately and efficiently for a large hourly workforce across multiple states. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with full-cycle payroll administration and is comfortable managing high-volume payroll activity in a fast-paced environment using ADP Workforce Now.Responsibilities:- Process end-to-end payroll for a large population of hourly employees within the hospitality and restaurant sector- Administer multi-state payroll activities while ensuring timely and accurate wage payments- Use ADP Workforce Now to maintain payroll records, validate employee data, and complete payroll runs- Review timesheets, earnings, deductions, and adjustments to identify and resolve discrepancies before payroll submission- Support compliance with applicable payroll regulations, tax requirements, and company policies across two states- Respond to payroll-related questions from employees and internal stakeholders with professionalism and accuracy- Prepare payroll reports and reconcile payroll data to help maintain accurate financial and employee recordsRequirements - Proven experience managing full-cycle payroll from data review through final processing- Background handling multi-state payroll, including payroll activity for hourly employees- Hands-on proficiency with ADP Workforce Now is required- Experience processing payroll for organizations with more than 500 employees- Strong understanding of payroll regulations, deductions, taxes, and recordkeeping practices- High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail in a high-volume environmentRobert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
