This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners’ educational journeys while honing your teaching and classroom management skills.We are seeking a passionate and energetic Part-Time Math Teacher to lead engaging, play-based math enrichment sessions for Kindergarten/1st grade students in after school enrichment classes at local Brooklyn schools. Responsibilities Lead interactive, age-appropriate math activities designed to enhance understanding and enjoyment of math concepts Implement engaging weekly lesson plans provided by the Brooklyn Play 2 Learn team and collaborate with the Brooklyn Play 2 Learn team to differentiate according to students’ needs Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students Foster a fun, safe, and supportive learning environment Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive and respectful atmosphere Follow and respect each school’s rules, guidelines, and expectations while on-site Qualifications: Experience working with young children (ages 5–9), preferably in an educational setting Background in education, early childhood development, or a related field (current college/graduate students welcome to apply) Strong classroom management and organizational skills Enthusiastic, patient, and creative teaching style Reliable and punctual Join us in creating an inspiring space where children can explore the exciting world of math!
