Analytical Technician

As an Analytical Technician, you will report to the Analytical and RM Lab Manager to perform a variety of routine chemical testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.Main ResponsibilitiesPerform analysis and tests of raw materials, in-process materials and finished products samples of manufactured/intermediate products to verify conformity to specifications. Records test results on batch tickets and in company’s computer operating system. Organizes and maintains quality records and retains of production/intermediate batches and raw materialsCompiles, interprets, and documents statistical data from testing processes to either confirm compliance with established quality standards or identify deviations.Ensure accuracy and integrity of testsSets up, adjusts, verifies, and operates laboratory equipment and instrumentsMaintain housekeeping of the working placeRespect the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality PolicyEvaluates retains of production batches in response to quality complaints.Performs 5S audits or other audits according to a plan.Support all Quality Control related One PPG initiatives Required Competencies:QualificationsMinimum of two-year technical degree preferredTwo years of analytical laboratory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environmentCandidates will have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and strong communication and organizational skillsAbout UsPPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD™Through leadership in innovation, sustainability and color, PPG helps customers in industrial, transportation, consumer products, and construction markets and aftermarkets to enhance more surfaces in more ways than does any other company.
